Hello S2!
If you are here, you have finished preparing for your talk...congratulations!
You will, however, want something to do, so here it is:
Choose of the tasks below. They are all taken from the 2008 SQA Standard Grade Writing Paper. Once you have chosen, just begin writing. Don't worry about planning, but do try to ensure that you write as well as you can in the time.
1. Write a short story using the following opening: The car skidded violently. He struggled to regain control. Close to panic, he wrenched the steering wheel to the right . . . You should develop setting and character as well as plot.
2. Journeys can take unexpected turns. Write about an occasion when this happened to you. Remember to include your thoughts and feelings.
3. Write about an occasion when your loyalty to a friend was pushed to the limit. Remember to include your thoughts and feelings.
4. Write a short story using the following title: The School Gate. You should develop setting and character as well as plot.
Good luck! ;D

Hmm... I've just come across this sub board (or whatever it's called) and I might do task 1.
I'm not guaranteeing it though
