Is technology eclipsing literature?

Playwright Tom Stoppard argues that literature is under threat because of the rise of technology and the moving image. I'm not sure I agree with him, personally!

This is interesting. Should we embrace the rise of technology? I think with the introduction of Media Studies at QHS we are advancing here, particularly the idea that lots of things can be 'read' as a text - like a film, or even a webpage.

Interesting that Stoppard's concerns were presented in The Guardian newspaper - both printed and online!
