What is a Topic Sentence?
The Topic Sentence is the first sentence of the paragraph.
The Topic Sentence will help clue the reader in to what your paragraph will be about.
The Topic Sentence will show that what you are writing relates to the question you have been asked.
A Good Topic Sentence
The best topic sentences will contain:
The writer’s name.
Use words similar to the key words of the question you are answering.
