• Sarcastic Tone vs Ironic Tone
Be careful – there is a difference between a sarcastic tone and an ironic tone.

Sarcasm: Harsh, cutting remarks intended to hurt or criticise, especially in an exaggerated way.

Irony : A mockingly humorous use of words in which the intended meaning is the opposite of what is actually said.
