English, and other subjects across the school, will use the following correction code to mark pupil work; in order to help you to understand exactly what the letters and symbols mean, please find below and attached for download, a copy of the school correction code: Whole School Correction Code Sp - spelling error ___ - the error is underlined (optional). P - punctuation is incorrect or missing. uc - upper case letters should be used (ie capital letters). lc - lower case letters should be used. Gr - grammatical error. Rep - words or ideas have been repeated. ^ - indicates word or phrase missed out. ? – meaning unclear. NP - new paragraph needed. //- where in the text the NP is needed (optional). / - where a break in word or sentence is needed, eg a/lot; at/all. NG - no gap, eg with out; him self; V - improve vocabulary. Exp – improve expression/ structure. Attachments:
