Dear Higher class Well done on Monday - I spoke to several as you came out, and if not buzzing, most of you seemed to be positive. There were no tears, which is sometimes the case. No-one answered on non-fiction (phew) and no-one answered a prose question with a drama text (Paul - were you still tempted?). I thought the Close Reading passage was very accessible with not too many devious questions. As for the critical essay, you were spoilt for choice (except for poetry - boo). What I was particularly pleased with was the spread of texts you had revised and chose to answer on - this makes me think my teaching was equally good (or bad!) for all four texts. I left feeling like a man who had just guided his team to Olympic success. And then I got a flat tyre. Typical. Anyway, I know you have other exams to wade through, but if you could give us your books back (The Crucible and Coney G) - that'd be great. Also, I'll accept past paper packs, the 'flow chart' Close Reading handout and any other re-useable handouts. Just pop in to my room, turn left and there is a sign-in sheet with two piles for the books along with a poly bag for handouts. Cheers and good luck in the rest of your exams Mr C ;D
