Wow, what an exciting day yesterday was! I had my first ever day at school. Well actually, I never made it to school so I still don’t know what that place is like. In the morning I took part in a puppet show because yesterday I was a wooden puppet but I could sing and dance without any strings! I even got some money for showing off my dance moves on stage. A cat and a fox tried to trick me into giving them the money but I refused and my Guardian Fairy sent help to rescue me from that situation. When she started asking me questions at her castle about what I had been doing that day, something strange happened. My nose grew whenever I lied. Things got weirder after that.
On the way home I met a group of boys who promised to take me to the circus but instead of going there, they turned into donkeys and were trained for the circus because they were being bad. I suppose it is not too bad as they wanted to go to the circus anyway. I was made of wood so I only grew a donkey tail, ears and feet. No circus wanted a half wooden puppet half donkey so the circus master threw me into the sea and a huge whale came along and swallowed me. Inside was my father! I still don’t know how he got inside the whale. I should probably ask him as that makes no sense, it was great to see him but why would he be inside the whale? Had he gone for a swim in the sea? I thought he was at the house. Luckily for him I was there. I may have been made of wood at the time but I had an amazing idea. We tickled the whale’s stomach and it sneezed, blowing us out!
When we finally got home I went straight to bed as I was too tired after that busy day so that is why I did not write anything yesterday.
Today when I woke up I was no longer made of wood but of skin and bone. I wonder if my nose still grows when I lie now that it’s not made of wood anymore. I might try that out when I get back home. It is probably not a good idea to try it out at school on my first day.
Anyway, I can hear my father walking around the kitchen. He still thinks I am a wooden puppet. I can’t wait to see the excitement on his face when he sees that I’m not! I am now a real boy!
