Dear diary,
Thankfully, the wonderful Snow White has been awakened from her lengthy slumber, for which the credit goes to the most handsome Prince Charming, who as the name suggests, is quite the gentleman. Even in her near-death state, she still miraculously retained her beauty. The wedding reception was this afternoon, and I have to say it was wonderful: all the hardship, grievance and sorry of the last few days has now been overcome by joy and celebration as the wedding commenced, and even Grumpy found it within himself to soften his hardened ways for the festivities.
The reception was wonderful: floral displays adorned the room (Sneezy's hay fever was not coping very well with the abundance of pollen in the mid summers air, but luckily he remembered a tissue to keep everything clean) and the cake was some of the best I had ever had in my life - frosted with vanilla icing and a rich fruity centre. The prince entertained us all with his impeccable sense of humour, such as my new personal favourite joke: there are two fish in a tank, one asks the other, 'How do you drive this thing?'. It's simply marvellous - gets a chuckle out of me every time! I am however, a little saddened by the loss of our good friend Snow White as she moves out tomorrow, and we shall miss her presence dearly. She taught us a lot; how to cook up all sorts of delectable delicacies, how to do the washing up and make every plate shine and most importantly the true value of friendship - all lessons we won't soon forget.
Although the reception was positively spiffing, I do have to admit I am not fully happy to be going back to work tomorrow after such a joyous day as today, as I know it will never be as enjoyable as today was. I do however, have a new soundtrack to work to, because 'Hi Ho Hi Ho' was beginning to get a tad dull and monotonous to labour over the top of. Anyways, this new song is by a gent known as Pharrell Williams, and I do say it is incredibly catchy and is quite the earworm I must say. It goes by the name of 'Happy', and not only do I enjoy the upbeat bass and the energetic beat, but I really can relate to the lyrics myself, because much like Williams himself, I am also Happy, both by name, and by nature. The only issue I do appear to have with the music being that once you start singing it, it is surprisingly hard to stop yourself and withhold from singing it constantly, as it is imprinted permanently on the mind and it is impulse to continue singing the song until one is blue in the face. But, having said that, it is still an excellent tune.
Anyway, here is to a hopefully long and prosperous marriage between the prince and Snow White, and to the relief that the tragedy and sorry of the last few days can now be put to rest thanks to the joy and celebration of this fine day.
I shall write again soon,
Happy
